Located in the tropical mountains, Saloy is fed with fresh spring water that flows through the lush forests and gives the chocolate a very dynamic flavor.
Saloy is a community of just under 2,100 inhabitants, which is part of the city of Davao, on the southern island of Mindanao. Davao was once the center of cocoa farming. Saloy is actually located far outside the city of Davao, in the mountainous region of tropical forest.
Don Papa has (also) put the Philippines on the world map as a rum country since about 2010. It’s also the first true, artisanal Filipino rum. And that while in this country rum is just about the most consumed.
